Selecting the right commercial flagpole

Commercial Atlantic Flagpole can be measured from 30 to 60 feet. They are usually made from one piece aluminum or steel tubing.

Depending on how dramatic your display is, you might want more than one or three flagpoles. Make sure you have enough space between the flagpoles so that they can wave and allow for growth, in case you need to add bigger flags.

Two types of flag halyards are available: pulley and rope systems. On the pole’s outer edge, you will find external halyard systems. This type of rigging involves attaching the flag to a rope. The rope is then looped around a truck or wheel at top of flagpole. To lock the flag in place, the rope is wrapped around the flagpole’s cleat. The problem is security with an external halyard is that it’s too easy for someone else to cut the rope.

You can make your pole more durable and secure by installing an internal halyard system. This allows you to keep the cable or rope inside the pole. It can be reached via a special winch that is installed in a door compartment at the base of the shaft. You should also consider a revolving pickup truck so that the flag doesn’t get wrapped around the pole in the event of a change in wind direction.

Steel is the best choice for commercial flagpoles. Steel flagpoles are strong and easy to maintain.

Choose a bronze alloy for a classic look. Most bronze alloys can be used for historical and national architectural purposes. This material will darken as you age.
